Originally established as a local distributor of spare parts for industrial vehicles, the company then began specializing in the sale of parts for trailers and semi-trailers. Starting in the 2000s, Autocar Ricambi began to expand internationally by working with major distributors at European level, opening a branch at Melegnano from where the company distributes spare parts throughout the Lombardy region. Since 2002, the company has been specializing in the sale of new and reconditioned engines, transmissions and differentials, which now constitutes its core businesses. Since 2005, Autocar Ricambi has become a leading distributor for three European companies that manufacture engines, clutches and differentials for MAN, MERCEDES, SCANIA, RENAULT, VOLVO, and DAF. In 2008, the company relocated to new headquarters at Cortemaggiore, just off the Fiorenzuola d′Arda (Piacenza) motorway exit.
